Server data recovery scheme

1. Server hard disk image

In order to prevent secondary damage to the original disk caused by misoperation in the process of data recovery, each disk must be mirrored and backed up before the start of all data recovery operations, and all data recovery operations are limited to the mirror files. Nothing can be done on the original disk.

2. Recombine raid

Supplementary lessons: raid striping is to divide a continuous piece of data into many small parts and store them on different disks. This allows multiple processes to access different parts of the data at the same time without causing disk conflicts. In most cases, except that the business must be adjusted, it is determined by the hardware controller through the default settings. At this point, you need to analyze the raid stripe information and then reorganize the raid operation.

After reorganizing raid, you can continue to analyze the allocation of lun in all data, and recover the lun in the server through the distribution location and structure of lun.

Analyze the lv in vg. If the lv information in the vg is still in the state, each lv, in the vg can be exported according to the lv information, so we need to splice each lv according to the allocation policy of the aix lvm and the rules of the file system in the lv, and export the found LV into an image file.

3. Restore data

First of all, for the lv with jfs2 file system, extract the data files from the underlying layer and export them to the windows environment.

Then, for the lv with db2 table space and informix table space, share the image file of the exported lv (in windows environment) to the aix computer using nfs, and then import the image file of lv into the new lv in aix through the dd command.

After exporting the data, set up the database environment, try to start the database, verify the file system, and the data recovery is successful.
