Working process

When the MOS is turned on, the input power supply provides current to the load through L and C filtering; when the MOS is turned off, L continues the current through the diode (so here the diode is called the continuous diode), keeping the load current continuous. Because the charge and discharge voltages of inductors are equal in steady state, the relationship between input and output voltage is as follows:

(Ui-Uo) * ton=Uo*toff = > Uo/Ui=ton/ (ton+toff)

Duty cycle D=ton/ (ton+toff) = > Uo/Ui=D (duty cycle).
