Install dependent libraries

# sudo apt-get install-y apt-transport-https ca-certificates curl software-properties-common

Add Docker official GPG key

# curl-fsSL https://download.docker.com/linux/ubuntu/gpg | sudo apt-key add-

Set up the Docker stable version repository

# sudo add-apt-repository "deb [arch=amd64] https://download.docker.com/linux/ubuntu $(lsb_release-cs) stable"

Update apt source index

# sudo apt-get update

Install the latest version of Docker CE (Community Edition)

# sudo apt-get install-y docker-ce

Check whether Docker CE is installed correctly. If Hello from Docker! appears, the installation is successful.

Install docker-compose

$sudo curl-L https://github.com/docker/compose/releases/download/1.25.0-rc4/docker-compose-`uname-s`-`uname-m`-o / usr/local/bin/docker-compose$ sudo chmod + x / usr/local/bin/docker-compose$ docker-compose version

Set permissions instead of entering sudo every time

$sudo usermod-a-G docker docker
