Shulou(Shulou.com)06/02 Report--
This article is to share with you about what coupling means in computers. The editor thought it was very practical, so I shared it with you as a reference. Let's follow the editor and have a look.
Coupling is when two or more circuits form a network, if the current or voltage in one circuit changes, it can affect other circuits to have similar changes. This kind of network is called coupling circuit. The function of coupling is to transfer the energy of one circuit to other circuits.
I. brief introduction:
Coupling is when two or more circuits form a network, if the current or voltage in one circuit changes, it can affect other circuits to have similar changes. This kind of network is called coupling circuit. The function of coupling is to transfer the energy of one circuit to other circuits.
Before we get to the term Coupling, let's look at an example of an amplifying circuit for a stereo record player. As can be seen from the picture below, each speaker is directly connected to the amplifier. Without the amplifier, there will be no sound. At the same time, the amplifier and the stereo record player are also directly connected.
However, the left and right speakers are not directly connected, and we can unplug one horn at will without affecting other devices, which shows that the coupling between the horn and other devices is very weak. The coupling between them is very loose (loose), that is, as long as you pull the plug, you can separate the module without using an electric soldering iron to dissolder the wires or pads on the printing board. On the other hand, if we connect the modules by wire welding, the coupling between them will be closer (tighter coupling).
In an electronic circuit, when several circuits form a network with common impedance, the change of voltage or current in one circuit can make other circuits change accordingly. According to the nature of common impedance, it can be divided into resistance coupling, inductance coupling, capacitance coupling and resistance-capacitance coupling and so on.
II. Main classification
System coupling originates from physics. In physics, coupling refers to a measure in which two entities depend on each other, which is divided into the following categories:
Indirect coupling
There is no direct relationship between the two modules, and the relationship between them is realized entirely through the control and invocation of the main module.
Data coupling
When one module accesses another module, it exchanges input and output information with each other through simple data parameters (not control parameters, common data structures or external variables).
Label coupling
A set of modules transmits record information through a parameter table. This record is a substructure of a data structure, not a simple variable.
Control coupling
If a module obviously controls the function of selecting another module by transmitting control information such as switches, flags, names, etc., it is control coupling.
External coupling
A group of modules all access the same global simple variable rather than the same global data structure, and do not transfer the information of the global variable through the parameter table, it is called external coupling.
Common coupling
If a group of modules access the same common data environment, the coupling between them is called common coupling. The common data environment can be the communication area shared by the global data structure, the common coverage area of memory, and so on.
Content coupling
Content coupling occurs between the two modules if the following occurs:
① one module directly accesses the internal data of another module
② one module is transferred to another module without going through the normal entrance
Part of the program code of the two modules of ③ overlap (can only appear in assembly language)
④ has multiple entrances to a module.
Third, the degree of strength
The strength of coupling depends on whether the division of modules is reasonable and the complexity of the interface between modules. Therefore, when dividing modules, you should try to do the following:
① eliminates unnecessary connections between modules
② reduces the number of essential connections between modules
The degree to which ③ loose modules are closely linked.
In this way, a weakly coupled and loosely coupled module division can be obtained.
