Computer virus (Computer Virus) is a group of computer instructions or program codes that programmers insert into computer programs that destroy computer functions or data, can affect the use of the computer, and can copy themselves.

Multiple states of computer viruses:

Static virus: a computer virus that exists on a secondary storage medium

Dynamic virus: a computer virus that enters computer memory and runs with the operation of the virus host or the startup mechanism of the system.

There are two states of dynamic virus in memory: active state and active state.

Active state: when the virus code in memory can be executed by the normal operation mechanism of the system, the dynamic virus is in the active state.

Active state: when the system is executing the virus code, the dynamic virus is active.

The virus in memory also has a special state-a live fetus, which does not occur under normal circumstances. His appearance is generally due to user intervention to the virus (using antivirus software or manual methods). The virus code in memory cannot be executed by the normal operation mechanism of the system.

Several common computer viruses in Windows environment:

3. Macro virus

Programs written in macro language can be run in some data processing systems (mainly in Microsoft office software, word processing, spreadsheets and other Office programs).
