-An INPUT-m state-- state NEW-m tcp-p tcp-- dport 6000 tcp 6010-j ACCEPT

-An INPUT-m state-- state NEW-m udp-p udp-- dport 177j ACCEPT

Restart the firewall (service iptables restart) to experience remotely connecting to the linux desktop.
