VSAN Requirements:

At least 3 vSphere ESXi hosts

Each host needs at least one SSD and one disk (at least 3 hosts have this configuration) for VSAN data storage

4. Minimum 6GB memory per host

Experimental procedure:

3. Since the test environment does not have SSD, use the following command to simulate the disk as SSD as VSAN cache.

esxcli storage nmp satp rule add --satp VMW_SATP_LOCAL --device mpx.vmhba1:C0:T1:L0 --option=enable_ssd

esxcli storage core claiming reclaim -d mpx.vmhba1:C0:T1:L0

4. Configure VSAN network, build new distributed switches, or use standard switches.

7. Add a VSA network for each host

8. Add ESXI management network port group
