OpenSSL announces that the 2016-2017 project roadmap will include TLS1.3 in version 1.1.1

Some time ago, the OpenSSL team published the project roadmap for 2016-2017 on its blog. RICH SALZ thanked open source enthusiasts for their follow-up and improvement of the project on GitHub and announced that the next release of OpenSSL will include TLS1.3 and be compatible with the current version 1.1.0 of API.

"We also set our own main goal to increase the coverage of our code and expand our protocol-level testing. In addition, all new API must be documented, and the entire SSL API collection will be documented. The util/find-undoc-api.pl lists script makes a list."

Not only that, OpenSSL also outlined and released a platform strategy. They will examine all targets in the configuration script and classify them according to the directory of the platform policy in the next release.
