JQuery.post (url [, data] [, success (data, textStatus, jqXHR)] [, dataType])

Description: use an HTTP POST request to load data from the server.

Url

Type: String

A URL string containing the sending request

Data

Type: PlainObject, String

A string or Key/value key-value pair sent to the server.

Success (data, textStatus, jqXHR)

Type: Function ()

The callback function that is executed when the request is successful.

DataType

Type: String

The expected data type returned from the server. Default: intelligent judgment (xml, json, script, or html).

This is an abbreviated form of the Ajax function, which is equivalent to:

The success callback function passes in the returned data, which is a response based on the MIME type. The data types it may return include XML root nodes, strings, JavaScript files, or JSON objects. A string describing the status of the response is also passed in.

Starting with jQuery 1.5, the success callback function also passes a "jqXHR" object (in jQuery 1.4, it passes a XMLHttpRequest object).

Pages fetched with POST are never cached, so the cache and ifModified options in these requests are not valid in jQuery.ajaxSetup ().
