Problem description: enter ifconfig in centos 6, only lo, no eth0, no Internet access, and there is no network icon in the upper right corner of the desktop.

Solution:

1. Enter the / etc/sysconfig/network-scripts directory and find ifcfg-eth0, that is, the network card (driver) exists but is not enabled.

two。 Enter the ifconfig-a command to display eth0 and lo.

3. Enter ifconfig eth0 up to enable the network card. When you use ifconfig at this time, you can only see the address of inet6 (ipv6?), but not the address of inet (that is, the ip entered by Xshell connection).

4. Modify the / etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 file to change ONBOOT=no to ONBOOT=yes, but the result of ifconfig remains unchanged. You can't do without this step.

5.service network restart, restart. Shutdown eth0 OK,bring up eth0 OK,determine ip for eth0 OK appears.

The network icon is still not restored, but it does not affect its use now.
