Why give priority to TPS?

Why did you choose PBFT as a consensus?

The consensus mechanism adopted by Thunderbolt chain is PBFT, which is a consensus mechanism with outstanding advantages in fault tolerance rate. The block chain digital bill trading platform launched by the central bank uses the optimized PBFT algorithm.

Compared with the traditional POW, POS and other consensus mechanisms, PBFT can solve the bifurcation problem very well, at the same time, improve the efficiency, block speed can also be greatly improved, all aspects of realization are more perfect.

Thunderbolt chain uses PBFT mechanism to take into account this point, the reason is still taking into account the needs of the actual landing application. Because in many actual business scenarios, it is difficult for users to accept rollback operations, block rollback corresponds to real life, that is, transaction cancellation, invalidation, which is obviously not in line with the user's normal trading experience. In addition, practical commercial applications can not accept block chain bifurcation. Therefore, the PBFT mechanism with strong consistency and non-bifurcation becomes the best choice.

And the PBFT mechanism also has an advantage in confirmation speed, which can be confirmed in seconds, which is also in line with the needs of the actual business scenario. The only problem is that PBFT requires that the number of malicious and invalid nodes is less than 1/3 of the total nodes to ensure security.
