This article mainly explains the "SAP Fiori application index how to check", the article explains the content is simple and clear, easy to learn and understand, the following please follow the editor's ideas slowly in depth, together to study and learn "SAP Fiori application index how to check" it!

Official website address: Fiori Apps Library

As the name implies, this is a Fiori application retrieval tool officially released by SAP, and the details of all standard Fiori applications can be found in this tool.

As of the time Jerry wrote this article, the site showed that there were 11949 Fiori standard applications:

In the 2015 Fiori 1.0 era, the UI style was called Blue Crystall, when Jerry was still working on the CRM Fiori development team at SAP Chengdu Research Institute, and we took over eight CRM Fiori applications from our Indian colleagues and continued to develop them.

How to find them in this Fiori application index?

Click the SAP Fiori apps for SAP Business Suite at the top left of the figure above:

Then choose to filter based on Application Component:

This Component is the Component field that the customer or Partners needs to fill in when reporting incident to SAP if a problem is found in the implementation and use of the Fiori application.

For example, there is a Fiori application under Component CRM-FIO-BTX-OPP, namely My Opportunities:

You can see its details here. For example, the backend needs at least CRM EHP3, the application type is Transactional, any DB is supported, it can be accessed on Desktop and Tablet, and the App ID is F0012:

All other CRM Fiori applications can also be found here:

The source code of the 8 CRM Fiori applications mentioned above was written by our Indian colleagues and our developers at SAP Chengdu Research Institute. We say that Fiori is not a specific front-end technology or programming language, but a design language that represents a UI design style. In addition to using pure UI5 native development like CRM Fiori, there are three solutions:

(1) SAPGUI can be used in the browser through SAP ITS (Internet Transaction Server). For more information, please refer to Jerry's article: SAP IDE that I used in those years. Similarly, through the efforts of SAP interaction designers and UI framework development engineers, those traditional transaction codes implemented by SAPGUI using SAP ITS in browsers can also ensure that users feel as smooth and easy to operate as Fiori applications natively developed with UI5 when using these traditional transaction codes in browsers.

(2) other UI development technologies other than SAP UI5 technology, such as Web applications developed by WebDynpro,WebClient UI, and Visual Harmonization adopted by SAP interaction designers and UI framework development engineers, can also make the user experience of these Web applications comparable to those of Fiori native applications.

(3) the metadata-driven development method of SAP S/4HANA CDS view plus a lot of annotation is adopted, which is now officially called Fiori Elements by SAP.

For end users, no matter which of the four ways a Fiori application is developed, there is no difference in the experience. In other words, the implementation details of the Fiori applications obtained by these four development methods are completely transparent to users.

For the technicians who implement Fiori, if it is necessary to go deep into these technical implementation details, they can filter according to the Application Type field on the Fiori application index.

There are only 119 Fiori applications implemented by WebClient UI technology, accounting for only about 1% of the total.

It includes the WebClient UI application used to create service orders in traditional SAP CRM mentioned in Jerry's previous article [Hello World, S/4HANA for Customer Management 1.0] (Hello World, S/4HANA for Customer Management 1.0). Now, through Visual Harmonization, it has joined the family of S/4HANA Fiori applications.

The ID for creating a service order in S/4HANA is TBT116MCR:

In the transaction code CRMC_UI_NBLINKS, you can find the corresponding WebUI component as BT116M_SRVO:

Here is a foreshadowing for Jerry's subsequent articles: what does the SAP Fiori app variant in the UI Technology field mean? Let's listen to the next decomposition.
