Auxiliary domain controller deployment

If there are multiple domain controllers in a domain, there are the following advantages:

Improve user login efficiency: if there are multiple domain controllers to provide identity authentication to the client at the same time, it can share the user identity authentication burden and improve the user login speed.

Fault tolerance: if there is a failure of the domain controller, the service can still be provided by other normal controllers, so the service to the user will not be stopped.

The other steps for deploying the extra domain controller are the same as the previous article, "Windows Server 2016 deploys the first Active Drectory domain controller"

After adding Active Directory Domain Services, click Select deployment Action for deployment configuration, and select promote this server to domain controller.

Enter the domain name "test.local" configured by the first domain controller, click change to enter the account and password that you have the right to add and control, and then complete the stand-alone next step.

Other operations keep the default stand-alone "next step" until the pre-condition check is passed and then the stand-alone "install".

The server will be restarted automatically after the installation is complete. Restart complete, secondary domain controller and creation complete

Next, check the replication status between the primary domain controller and the secondary domain controller through repadmin / replsummary. No failure or error means that the replication is normal.
