1. Open the service

Win+R Enter service.msc to find MySQL service and stop it.

2. Open cmd and go to MySQL bin folder

Type mysqld -nt --skip-grant-tables and enter directly, which will display characters similar to the following

140317 13:23:11 [Warning] option 'new': boolean value 't' wasn't recognized. Set

to OFF.

3. Open a DOS window again, enter the bin folder again, type mysql and enter directly.

mysql>USE mysql; Select database

mysql>UPDATE user SET password=PASSWORD("123456") WHERE user="root"; Set database password

mysql>FLUSH PRIVILEGES; Refresh permissions

9. Exit: (exit, exit, ctrl+c,\q, etc.);

10. Log off or restart the computer, then open MySQL service, use the username root and set a new password to log in.
