Add computer directory

Right-click the computer directory on citrix studio to create the computer directory.

Next, choose "multi-session operating system" (the previous version does not seem to be written in this way, the previous version is divided into server operating system and desktop operating system, but the meaning is similar. )

First of all, I chose the computer for power management. Enable these computers to be turned on by the desktop cloud platform. The virtual machine deployed is MCS. I will demonstrate the host of PVS later.

When selecting the template, select the host of VDA.

The next step is to select the OU of the computer directory, which represents the computer account generated by adding the domain when the corresponding virtual machine is generated, and they will all be arranged in this OU. I have prepared a new OU in the domain server

Of course, make sure that the current account, which refers to the domain account running studio software, has permission to modify this OU. Otherwise, it is impossible to create a virtual machine automatically.

So let's add it.

Then start creating the computer directory.

You can see that the virtual machine template is being created.

Create a delivery group

Select computer group

You can see it in the computer directory

The number of computers allocated has been in line with the number of computers.

You can see in DDC that the controller cannot connect to the target host. It could be the firewall.

Basically, these two kinds of errors are reported.

I think it's the firewall. At first, I went to turn off the firewall of the template copied by VDI, which was invalid. So I turned off DDC's firewall again and succeeded. It means that DDC's firewall blocks the message.

So I turned on VDI's firewall again. no way.

Indicates that templates cloned by DDC and VDI must be released on the firewall. And then I minimized the wave again. It is found that there are three kinds of firewalls in 2016 of server, and it is the "domain firewall" that causes the inability to connect. As long as one of the multiple DDC's domain firewalls is open, it can be released.

So now we need to open the corresponding port or service on the domain firewall on the corresponding server.

DDC enables the service "Citrix Broken Service"

Port 80 should be open on the VDA host. During the previous VDA installation, port 80 was opened, but somehow it failed to start here, so the cloned MCS host did not open this port either. )

Delete the wrong computer directory, while those cloned machines are deleted, re-modify the vda settings and create the computer directory again.
