This paper shares and discusses the important role of the future wisdom promoted by the new generation of information technology with artificial intelligence, big data and supercomputing as the core in understanding and managing the ocean. The ocean is the cradle of life, the hometown of wind and rain, the main roads of transportation, and the treasure house of resources. Wu Lixin said that overcalculation helps to improve the accuracy of ocean prediction. to provide support for resource exploration, disaster forecasting, fishery development, maritime traffic, climate forecast, marine security, etc., is essential to building an intelligent ocean.

Wang Yinglong, party committee secretary, researcher, and doctoral supervisor of Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Academy of Sciences), Xu Jin, professor and doctoral supervisor of Peking University, Yuan Xiaoru, researcher of the School of Information Science and Technology of Peking University, Peng Shaoliang, deputy director of the National Changsha Center for supercomputing, and other senior experts and scholars also gave invited reports and speeches at the three-day main forum of the conference, realizing the collision of ideas and the agitation of views through brilliant academic sharing. Representatives of industry leading manufacturers from Huawei, Intel, NVIDIA, dawning, Tide, Alibaba, IBM, Lenovo and parallel Technology also shared the latest progress and joined hands to explore positive ways to promote the prosperity and development of industrial ecology.

High-performance computers, especially supercomputers with state-of-the-art computing power, are an important symbol of the country's scientific and technological development level and comprehensive national strength. On the afternoon of the 18th, the high-profile "2018 TOP100 ranking of China's high-performance computers" was officially announced.

Zhang Yunquan, a researcher at the Academy of Computing Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, released and briefly analyzed the 2018 TOP100 ranking of High performance computers in China.

According to the TOP100 list, the top three supercomputer systems are Shenwei Taihu Light, deployed at the National supercomputing Center in Wuxi, Tianhe No.2 at the National supercomputing Guangzhou Center, and Tianhe 1A at the National supercomputing Tianjin Center. It is worth mentioning that the supercomputing system listed in the TOP100 list has achieved "national production" for the first time, with domestic systems accounting for 100%, which is of great significance in the development of supercomputing in China. Among them, dawning and Lenovo tied for the first place with the results of 40 finalists.

Among the shortlisted supercomputing systems, there are 2 systems with performance higher than 4 PFLOPS, 8 between 2-4 PFLOPS, 41 between 1.5-2 PFLOPS, and 49 between 1-1.5 PFLOPS. All of the top 100 floating-point operations have reached the PFlops level. The average performance of the TOP100 shortlisted system is 37 per cent higher than last year. In the application category, information services account for 23%, scientific computing and engineering computing account for 30%, and data analysis and machine learning account for 47%.

At the same time, the conference held the final and award ceremony of the sixth Intel Cup National parallel Application Challenge (PAC2018) and the second domestic CPU parallel Application Challenge (CPC2018), the HPC China2018 Conference Outstanding Paper Award and the HPC Plus Outstanding Forum Award ceremony.
