Domestic users' acceptance of ThingWorx 8

Liu Qiang said: customers are very impressed by some of the new features brought about by the release of our ThingWorx 8 platform, especially the improvement in the connectivity of real-time big data, which is most recognized by customers after the release of our ThingWorx 8 platform. At the same time, it should be said that the most important thing in the practical application of the ThingWorx platform in China is not our platform technology itself. As long as we talk to our customers and give them a simple POC, they will be attracted immediately.

Pain points for industrial customers to implement IoT

Andy BALOUSEK, vice president of sales for Smart + connected Technology at PTC Manufacturing, said: the problem we face is for customers to measure which priorities are implemented from which situation in order to get value quickly. With regard to the rapid implementation of ThingWorx, we may also need the participation of some system integrators to help customers realize value quickly, that is, to implement the connection from the industrial innovation Internet of things platform advocated by PTC, actually find a starting point and hit the ground quickly. So, how fast is this implementation in general? It usually takes days or even weeks at the fastest, and a month at the most.

The change of organizational structure brought by IoT system

Liu Qiang said that the answer to the question of streamlining the department is not necessary, because it has a project background, and only from the technical level, it requires a good cooperation between the automated production field and its IT field to implement the project. But not from the perspective of organizational structure, enterprises can form a project team, because the implementation of IoT does not change the operating mechanism of an enterprise itself.

Technology advance stage of the Internet of things

Liu Qiang said: first define the vision of the enterprise to do digital transformation, then the stage, and then your implementation steps at each stage. On our road map for digital transformation, we define all three as the basis, but his situation will be different for each customer, so the road map recommended to him will actually be different.

Generally speaking, because PTC's strategy in the Internet of things is very clear, the whole product development and evolution has been going according to plan. PTC in the market performance, whether in the world or China is good. In terms of the overall IoT situation, the overall performance of PTC, especially the growth of IoT performance, is in a good state.
