Problem description

During the deployment of the SFB front-end server through the Skype for Business 2015 (hereinafter referred to as SFB) deployment wizard, an error was reported during the second step of the installation, resulting in the installation not being completed. The error message is as follows: "- End Error Message from rewrite2.0rtwx64.msi-Prerequisite installation failed RewriteModule".

Solution method

1. Enter regedit while running to enter the registry editor:

two。 Navigate to HKEYLOCALMACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ InetStp, right-click MajorVersion, and select Decimal under Base:

3. Change the Value data value to 9 and click OK:

4. Click Back back in the deployment wizard interface, and then click Next to re-install the second step. The wizard will quickly check and skip the installed part and complete the previously uninstalled part until the installation is complete:

5. After deployment, change the modified value in step 3 back to 10.
