Hewlett-Packard has overhauled its Elite Dragonfly and made some major changes, some of which may be welcomed by consumers and the business community, while some of them may. Cause controversy. We had the opportunity to try out the new prototype of the Elite Dragonfly G3, which is not ready for performance, but let us know the look and feel of the new chassis.

Put it next to the various Elite Dragonfly models we've reviewed in the past, and you won't be hard to tell. What you will notice is mainly the monitor. The Dragonfly series is finally on the path of the Spectre x360, with an aspect ratio of 3:2. It is taller than the 16:9 panel, giving you more space for multitasking, less scrolling, and extra space for a larger touchpad. The panel of this machine is only 1920 x 1280, but it is very cute and provides a clear picture.

You don't necessarily see another major change right away, but I'm actually more excited about it. Hewlett-Packard has actually made the button bigger than the previous Dragonfly. I already like the G2 keyboard very much, so I don't think it's a big deal for me, but this new keyboard is actually incredible. I did notice the difference. Not only do I type faster than usual, but I also make few mistakes (which is very unusual for me). I really don't look forward to going back to my typical laptop keyboard. What Hewlett-Packard does here is a godsend.

Of course, there are bumps and bumps on the inside. The new G3 will be equipped with a 12th-generation processor, RAM up to 32GB, and storage space up to 2TB. There is now a USB-C port on both sides, which makes charging a little less troublesome. The fingerprint reader and the power button are moved to the keyboard, which makes them very easy to touch (and, in the case of the power button, it is not easy to press accidentally).

But I haven't fully sold some changes to the chassis yet. On the one hand, the Dragonfly G3 is no longer a convertible-it's just a flip. Many production lines use flip manufacturers, so I think I'm in the minority here, but I do like two-in-one laptops, and in the flip form factor, the usefulness of the touch screen is not clear to me.
