We know that there can be multiple SIP domains in a lync Standard Edition pool, so when we have installed lync, the default login is our default SIP domain. If our standard edition pool is lync.contoso.com, our new default SIP domain is contoso.com, and then we create a non-default microsoft.com SIP domain.

Then after opening a lync account, the account will use the @ contoso.com address by default for the first login. Even if we specify @ microsoft.com when we open the account, we will automatically find the default SIP domain contoso.com.

If all the clients we set up use a non-default microsoft.com domain, there will be a problem. When the client logs in automatically, the default SIP domain selected is wrong and cannot be logged in. If we want all clients to automatically use @ microsoft.com 's SIP domain when they log in automatically, then we need to change the default SIP domain settings.

Lync provides us with a way to modify the command line:

To view the current default SIP domain, you can use the following command, which lists all SIP domains in the standard version pool, as shown in the following command result. The current contoso domain is TRUE, so contoso is the default SIP domain.

Then use the following command to modify the default SIP domain, as shown in the following command, I change the default SIP domain to microsoft.com

Then we use the Get command to check again and find that the default SIP domain has been changed to microsoft.com
