Solution solution Set shmall equal to the sum of all the SGAs on the system, divided by the page size. Set the value of shmall to equal the amount of memory occupied by all SGA in the system divided by the paging size The page size can be determined using the following command: get the paging size $getconf PAGE_SIZE 4096For example, if the sum of all the SGAs on the system is 16Gb and the result of'$getconf PAGE_SIZE' is 4096 (4Kb) then set shmall to 4194304 pages, for example If the sum of all SGA in the system is 16Gb, and the result of getconf PAGE_SIZE is 4096 (4k), then shmall is set to 4194304 pages of As the root user set the shmall to 4194304 in the / etc/sysctl.conf file: use root users to set shmall to 4194304kernel.shmall = 4194304then run the following command in the / etc/sysctl.conf file: execute the following command $sysctl-p $cat / proc/sys/kernel/shmall4194304NOTE:The above command loads the new value and a reboot is not necessary. The above command does not need to restart Switch back to being the oracle user and retry the startup command. Switch to the oracle user and re-execute the startup command Modifying / etc/sysctl.conf is a permanent workaround (applies at boot time).
