Directly installed 7, so reinstall also dropped the operating system version by the way, but the installation is not smooth, all kinds of bug, during which the system N is simply and rudely reinstalled for many times. In retrospect, I only blame myself for being too naive. / (ignoro installation) / ~ now or summarize the installation process at that time, in case of future trouble.

1. Installation environment and software:

two。 Install CentOS6.8

When installing CentOS6.8 in a virtual machine, you need to pay attention to the settings of disk, memory and partition size, which can be found on the official website of oracle. There are recommended minimum values. I set the disk size to 40 gigabytes and the memory to 4 gigabytes. When partitioning, the swap4G,tmp partition 2G camera boot defaults, and the rest is allocated to /.

3. Configure the network card eth0

After installing CentOS6.8, configure the network first, because there is no eth0 by default, so I have to configure it myself.

4. Configure yum proxy

This has tortured me for a long time. Because when I first installed CentOS7, my yum was normal, but. After I installed 6. 8, yum failed. I changed the yum source to 163and Ali Cloud successively, but it still didn't work. I really feel like I'm going to die here before my oracle installation starts. However, it seems that there is no way, I changed the Linux version to 6.8 at home, but yum is still normal, so I wonder if it is because the company's network needs to set up agents, sure enough! Once the proxy is set up, everything is OK. So this step is not something that everyone has to do and take what they need.

After the configuration is complete and the yum is normal, start installing the rpm packages required by oracle. The following is a list of packages that need to be installed in Series 6:

5. Install VM Tools

This is still a necessary step, because after my 6.8 installation, the full screen still can not be maximized, there is only a small window, seriously affecting the use. So I installed VM Tools. Just follow the instructions on VMware's official website to do this, which is relatively simple.

6. Create user groups, users, and passwords

Now you are ready to install oracle. The first step is to create the required user groups, users, and passwords.

7. Modify kernel parameters

Because of the requirements of oracle, some kernel parameters need to be modified. Just modify the / etc/sysctl.conf file, and remember to make it effective after the modification is completed.

I used xftp to transfer the installation file of oracle to Linux and created a new folder / software under the root directory.

My screenshot here does not have an oraInventory folder, because it was omitted at that time and was temporarily created during installation. It is best to be in place at once. OraInventory is also under the / u01/app path.

11. Set environment variabl

This operation needs to switch to the oracle user, and then set the environment variable, but at this time, it is best to remember about SID, lest it is different from the SID set up later, resulting in a final error, which hurts. This step is performed under the root user.

14. Set the environment variable DISPLAY

Switch to the oracle user and set the DISPLAY variable to avoid errors due to resolution issues when checking whether the requirements are met during installation.

15. Start installing oracle

Then it will be fine to execute the runInstaller under the extracted database file. After all the checks are passed, there will be an interface to install. Just choose and execute it step by step according to your own needs.
