1-consequences of batch management activation

If batch management is enabled for a material, then inventory management and stocktaking and many other matters need to be carried out at the batch level.

When the goods move, you need to specify the batch number of the relevant goods on the interface, otherwise the system will not allow successful posting:

-in the process of warehouse delivery, such as 201 delivery to the cost center, the system can automatically recommend the shipments according to the principles set by the backend, such as first-in, first-out, first-in, first-out and so on.

-in the process of receiving goods, you can also allow the system to automatically generate a batch number when receiving and posting the goods according to the settings of the background. of course, a batch number can also be manually specified by the receiving business staff.

-in the process of warehouse transfer or inventory status change, the batch number of the goods movement must be entered by the business staff.

2-the creation of inventory vouchers can also be determined automatically in batches.

In the stocktaking business, if you want to create stocktaking vouchers, you can enter the batches of materials that need to be counted in the stocktaking vouchers, of course, it is not a must! The SAP system can also provide automatic batch suggestion function in this section.

In the MI01 interface, the business staff can enter only the batch number, as follows:

Enter the material number, do not enter the batch number, save directly.

When generating stocktaking vouchers, the system automatically recommends batches. MI03 goes to see the inventory voucher number, and the system automatically adds all the batch information of the material to the inventory voucher, as shown below:

This is very convenient, without the need for business staff to enter the batch number one by one.

However, the system automatically recommends the batch numbers in the inventory vouchers, including those that do not have a book inventory.

For example, the book inventory of batch number 2002038749max 2002038653 is 0. These two batch numbers also appear in the inventory voucher.

At this point, human intervention is needed to delete the batch line items that have no paper inventory. So if the SAP system has been used for many years, a material has thousands of batch numbers, and most of the book inventory is 0, wouldn't it be very inconvenient for business staff? Is SAP being stupid? Or is there a blind spot in the author's understanding of SAP system?
