Two days ago, I wanted to try the version of dd-wrt on a whim, but I didn't expect to brick a good Linksys-AC1900 router. Helpless, we have to try to get it back anyway. Read some posts, tried some methods, and finally succeeded. The following is a record of your operation.

The phenomenon of changing bricks:

Upload the image of Linksys-AC1900 dd-wrt, after reboot, only the eSATA and power lights are lit when the router is powered on, and all other lights are off. Three seconds later, the eSATA lights are off, only the power lights are flashing. Connected to the Internet, the computer can not get the IP address from the router, set static IP to the computer, try to ping 192.168.1.1, there is no echo.

Try many times, 30-30-30 method is not successful, soft and hard recovery factory settings are not successful.

Rescue tool:

Recovery method:

Link the USB-TTL debug cable to the router. The router must be powered off first, and then connect according to the connection method mentioned above.

Connect the computer to the LAN port of the router and set the computer to static IP:192.168.1.2, (255.255.255.0) 192.168.1.1.)

Open the TFTP tool, select the default network port of the tool is 192.168.1.2, and select the folder containing the recovery image as the tftp default folder

In the tftp default folder, rename the image file to:

Blk-mamba.128mb.img

Connect the USB-TTL debug cable to the computer, open putty, select the serial port, and adjust the parameter bit rate to 115200

The router is powered and the startup message is seen in the putty window. Press any key at the same time to interrupt the bootload.

Enter the following commands in turn, and type enter after each command.

Hit any key to stop autoboot: 32 1Marvell > > setenv ipaddr 192.168.1.1Marvell > > setenv netmask 255.255.255.0Marvell > > setenv serverip 192.168.1.2

At this point, you should see the following output as successful brushing:

Prepare the required tools: tftp tool, putty, debug line drive, screwdriver

Connect the USB to TTL debug cable to the computer and wait for the computer to download and install the driver automatically. after the driver installation is completed, the device becomes a USB-COM interface. Please find the COM interface number for use.

If you see the following output, it is not successful. Please carefully find the cause of the failure and the location of common errors: tftp folder, image file name, IP setting, network connection.

The last step: enter the instruction in putty: Marvell > > reset wait patiently for the router to start, refer to the putty screen output information. After the router is working properly, power is cut off, all connections are disconnected, and the router is reassembled. If the router does not start up properly, please repeat the above method of brushing.
