Earlier, we installed App Volumes and did not configure it. In this section, we will explain the App Volumes configuration. App Volumes configuration is relatively simple and is usually the next step. Open the App Volumes shortcut menu on the desktop and the Web console will be opened by default. Go to the welcome page number of App Volumes Manager and click Get Started

On the license page, you can see some basic information about the current license, including users, session users, desktops, servers and other basic information. By default, we click next.

On this page we need to enter the name of the domain controller, domain controller host ip or FQDN,LDAP Base, username password and security mode. Here we select Ldap (insecure), use port 389, and click register

The registered information is as follows. Click + to edit and modify it.

Set the administrator role and select a group for assignment, and other operations can be carried out later for permission control.

After the permissions are assigned, if there are any changes in the later stage, you can click Manage role to handle the operation, and you can also assign permissions to others.

On the manage machines page, enter the user information of VCenter Server, password, ip, etc., other options default, and click next.

After clicking save, certificate authentication pops up. Here we select the trust certificate and click Accept.

As the password of the vCenter host will change due to personal rules, if there is any change in the later period, you can click + to modify it.

Select the storage location where AppStacks and Writable Volumes volumes are stored. It is recommended that AppStack be placed on Datastore with better performance and Writable on storage with better read and write performance.

We have two modes for configuring the storage settings page, one is background execution and the other is enforcement. For security reasons, it is recommended to use background

Choose to upload the template Volumes to that Datastore. Here, you need to enter the user name and password of the ESXi host for verification to facilitate upload.

Confirm the configuration and click save to complete the configuration.

Click the home icon to see the current usage

The preparation of the template machine will be carried out later, and you are welcome to continue to pay attention.
