Adobe Flash Player was officially discontinued in early 2021, but it still appears on some Windows 10 devices. Now, Microsoft has announced a plan to completely terminate the software and ensure the safety of system users.

Microsoft released an update called KB4577586, which is actually the last blow to Flash Player. This update completely removes the 32-bit Adobe Flash Player plug-in from the operating system and blocks new installations.

This update is currently an optional update for Windows 10. However, the company will enforce the change from July.

According to Microsoft's plan, updates to KB4577586 will soon appear more frequently in installations. The patch will be available on Windows 21H1 and the version will be released later this month.

KB4577586 will also be distributed as a cumulative update to Windows 10 version 1507 and later in July 2021. In addition, this update will be included in the security patches for Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012.

In other words, the trend is that until July this year, even if Adobe Flash Player is accidentally installed, most Windows 10 users will be protected. Although the final patch for the software has not yet been widely released, it is worth remembering that Adobe has taken steps to avoid using the program.
