C) are your computer's TCP/IP settings correct?

If the IP address of the device is 192.168.1.1, when manually configuring the IP address of the computer, it must be 192.168.1.x (X is any integer between 2 and 254).

3. Mercury wireless router settings

Open the IE browser program and enter "http://192.168.1.1"" in the address bar. After pressing enter to confirm, you will see the login interface shown in the following figure. Enter your user name and password in the login dialog box (factory default is "admin"), and then click OK.

If the user name and password are correct, the browser displays the administrator mode screen and a setup wizard screen pops up (if it does not pop up automatically, you can click setup Wizard in the left menu of the administrator mode screen to activate it).

Click "next" to enter the Internet access selection page. This page shows the three most commonly used ways to surf the Internet. You can choose according to your situation, and then click next.

a. Let the router automatically select the Internet access mode (recommended)

The example here demonstrates the PPPoE Internet access method used by the average home broadband user. After you click next, the following screen appears. Fill in the broadband username and password provided by ISP.

After clicking next, the wireless settings interface will appear.

Wireless status: turns the wireless function of the router on or off.

SSID: set any string to identify the wireless network.

Channel: set the wireless signal band of the router, it is recommended to choose automatic.

Turn off wireless security: turn off the wireless security feature, that is, the router's wireless network is not encrypted, and others can join the wireless network.

WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK: the encryption method for the wireless network of a router. If you select this option, enter the password in the PSK password, which requires 8-63 ASCII characters or 8-64 hexadecimal characters.

Do not modify the wireless security settings: if you select this option, the last set parameters will be retained in the wireless security options. If you have never changed the wireless security settings, when you select this option, wireless security will be turned off using the factory default settings.

After you click next, the installation wizard completion interface appears. Click restart to complete the router settings.

After restarting, click "running status as shown in the following figure" in the left menu.

Check the status of the WAN port. If the IP address is displayed as "0.0.0", our router is networked. WAN port traffic shows the number of packets currently received and sent by the router. At this point, our router setup is complete.
