Description:

The last time the system was shut down at DateTime was unexpected.

Possible reasons:

This problem occurs if both of the following conditions are met:

The computer is locked or configured with a password-protected screen saver.

The shutdown operation is automatically started by a program that uses the InitiateSystemShutdownEx function with a mandatory flag.

For example, you use the remote shutdown tool (Shutdown.exe) in Microsoft Windows 2003 Resource Kit to force a shutdown of the local computer from a remote computer, or use Shutdown.exe with the at command or task scheduler to schedule a shutdown for the local computer.

In this case, the shutdown event is not notified to the event log service, so the event log service mistakenly treats this shutdown as an unexpected event.

Solution:

The dates and times of these documents are listed in coordinated Universal time (UTC). When you view the file information, the time is converted to local time. To understand the time difference between UTC and local time, use the time Zone tab of the date and time item in the Control Panel.
