In order to provide customers with high-end cutting-edge video products and rich and colorful converged services, Tianwei Video's central storage system construction project will introduce a new software-defined and new distributed object storage architecture to build a new central storage system, which will be used as the storage device of the central CDN and cover the original storage capacity.

After the construction of the distributed storage system is completed, the newly-built storage system interacts with the central CDN of the Weishi Cloud platform through the S3 interface to realize the real-time injection of live channels and non-real-time injection of VOD programs, as well as the distribution of secondary CDN origin-pull traffic. In this scheme, only one copy of the program is stored in the central CDN of Weishi Cloud platform, and the copy mechanism is used to ensure data security.

In this project, Shanyan data will provide Tianwei Video with an overall solution in two stages: in the first stage, combined with the server technology advantages of Shanyan Mass object Storage (SandStone MOS) and Cisco 56 disk model, multi-version of files and CDP technology will be enabled to prevent data from being mistakenly deleted and overwritten. It can also provide the overall storage performance of read bandwidth 90Gb/s and write bandwidth 5Gb/s, which not only ensures the performance requirements of stable video stream in VOD system, but also reduces the cost of hardware resources.

In the second stage, through the intelligent management of Shanyan's data lifecycle, the recorded and broadcast data can be automatically transferred or saved for 30 days and deleted automatically, and a NAS heterogeneous solution is provided to facilitate the old existing storage server, regardless of whether the bottom layer is x86 server or existing NAS storage, it can be managed uniformly.
