One day, a desktop maintenance staff suddenly reported that the network of a certain terminal was normal, but the video surveillance client that had been in use was abnormal. Every half hour or so, the monitoring screen would prompt that the network connection failed. Turn off the video surveillance client and reconnect, but about half an hour later, it would repeatedly prompt abnormality.

Haikang equipment is adopted for the video service set, and network cameras are deployed in each subordinate department of the external network, and then transmitted to NVR under the video service area of the main room through the dedicated network for centralized storage. Two WINDOWS SERVER 2008 servers are deployed in the video service area to jointly run the Haikang video management system. One server is responsible for user authentication management, and the other server is responsible for streaming media service to distribute videos stored in NVR to all clients. Other services in the video area are not mentioned. Some terminals in the office area need to monitor some camera videos in real time, and the videos are obtained by installing video surveillance clients. After receiving feedback, start troubleshooting.

1. Troubleshooting terminal settings. Install video surveillance client in other terminals in the office area for review, and find that the fault is still the same.

2. Check whether network communication failure is caused.

The fault symptom is very similar to the network session timeout fault phenomenon, so check the long connection session timeout settings of the two firewalls in the video area and the office area respectively, confirm that the long connection has been enabled and the timeout time is much longer than the fault frequency, and eliminate the possibility.

Think of other possible network failure points, simply install video surveillance client directly on the server to verify. So remote to the authentication management server and install video surveillance client, the results found that the fault is still, which can basically rule out the possibility of network failure.

3. Troubleshooting server settings.

A careful look at the programs and services running on the two servers shows no abnormal programs and services, but there is "Master Lu" running on the streaming media server, which was not installed before in the impression, but "Master Lu" is too common to attract attention. Troubleshooting here, I feel completely lost direction, I do not know where to start next.

Aside from the usual possibilities, what else could cause such a malfunction? Thinking for a long time, suddenly blessed to the heart, WTF!

Connect to the streaming media server and go straight to "Power Options": The preferred plan is actually "Master Lu 'Energy Saving Plan"! Click on the specific settings to see, unexpectedly set me to no operation after 20 minutes into sleep mode! WTF!

Change the power option back to "high performance," uninstall Master Lu (Master Lu can not be found in the control panel, can only be uninstalled by other means), and the fault disappears.

Off-topic:

The power option was obviously changed by Master Lu himself, but how did Master Lu install it? After communicating with maintenance personnel, it is clear that it is not installed by maintenance personnel. But a certain time to check ***, once installed in this server 360 security guards, but after scanning it uninstalled. Since "Master Lu" has been acquired by 360 for a long time, the answer has been looming.
