ATP (autonomous transactional database service) is a very powerful database cloud service provided by Oracle Cloud, commonly known as DBaaS, which makes up for this deficiency.

Log in to the cloud console and enter the ATP management interface (Autonomous Transaction Processing) from the menu item

Go to the creation page of ATP.

Creating an ATP service is obviously more complex than creating a CVM, and the main areas that need to be configured include:

1. Name of the service

Display name is the name displayed in the administrative interface, and Database name is the database name, up to 14 characters.

2. Select the type of database service

Choose Transaction Processing (the default option) here, and we'll talk about it later on Data Warehouse.

3. Choose the deployment method

Shared means shared mode, similar to virtual deployment, while Dedicated is exclusive mode, similar to bare metal machine deployment.

4. Basic information of configuration database

This is mainly the version of the configuration database, which only 19c can choose from. Because of the Always Free resources used, neither CPU nor storage can be selected or automatically extended.

5. Configure Admin account

6. Configure the network

The default is fine here.

7. Select the type of authorization

The default one is fine here.

This basically completes the configuration, and the Advance option is the configuration option for Tag (tags).

Start creating.

In about 2 minutes, the ATP service will be created!
