The so-called theme and skin mainly refers to the interface style and display mode of the portal system. In the implementation of the enterprise portal project, the development of theme and skin is the top priority. Because as a unified entrance to all information and applications inside and outside the enterprise, it is the face of an enterprise. On the other hand, in an enterprise, no system is used by more employees than the portal system. In the project practice, I also found that the time spent on theme and skin development often accounts for a large proportion, and the requirements for artists are also relatively strict.

Portal's theme and skin development, to put it bluntly, is still the development of ordinary JSP, but a lot of use of IBM's own tag library, and the call between pages is very complex, junior developers can not even find the file where the page elements are located, so it is more troublesome to develop. In addition, the theme and skin elements of each version of Portal are changing, which seems difficult to master. However, if you have a deep insight into the invocation relationship between several files related to themes and skins, you can use them easily.

2 WebSphere Portal 7.0theme and skin deployment method 2.1theme and skin application deployment

WebSphere Portal 7.0 is similar to 8.0, but has a great change compared with 6.0. Since version 8.0 has no more than 3 customers in China (as of 2013), while version 7.0 has more customers and is currently the most popular, this section describes the theme and skin development of IBM WebSphere Portal 7.0in detail.

2.1.1 theme and skin applications (dynamic files)

Use the tool: AnyClient.

First download and install the AnyClient tool.

If the tool already exists on your computer, you can run it directly, as shown in figure 2-23.

Click "File" and select "Site Manager", as shown in figure 2-24.

Click the "New" button in the lower left corner, and the general information you need to fill in is displayed on the right. Change the Protocol to "WebDAV", as shown in figure 2-25.

Fill in the information as required, as shown in figure 2-26. Where Host represents the computer IP address or domain name.

The general options are as follows.

-Host: add ThemeList, http://hostname:10039/wps/mycontenthandler/dav/themelist/; add SkinList, http://hostname:10039/wps/mycontenthandler/dav/skinlist/; add fs-type1,http:// hostname:10039/wps/mycontenthandler/dav/fs-type1/.

-Username:wpsadmin.

-Password:wpsadmin.

-Protocol:WebDAV.

-Local Directory: select the directory where the files need to be uploaded on the local computer.

-Remote Directory: no.

-Debug: no.

-Prompt for password: optional.

When the above operation is completed, start the file transfer operation.

Transfer theme files through ThemeList, for example: wanhua.default.theme; transfers skin files through SkinList, for example: wanhua.default.Standard.

After the above files have been transferred, all the dynamic files have been deployed.

1.2 theme and skin applications (static files)

With the help of the application packaging tool, the static files of themes and skins are packed into EAR packages, and then uploaded to "WebSphere Enterprise applications" under "Application types" in the administrative console. This process is relatively simple, and I will not elaborate on them one by one here. If beginners do not understand, you can check the introductory tutorial on the official website of IBM.

After the deployment of the file is complete, the theme and skin are available.

2.2 Export / import of theme and skin files

Export / import themes and skins through the FlashFXP tool. The wpsadmin in the profile export / import is the administrator account.

2.2.1 profile Export

Use the FlashFXP tool to connect to the computer, as shown in figure 2-27.

Go to the directory where the theme and skin commands are executed, as shown in figure 2-28.

Upload the local "export.xml" file to this directory, connect to the machine through the SecureCRT tool, and execute the commands shown in figure 2-29 to complete the export of the theme and skin.

The profile export is complete.

2.2.2 profile modification

After completing the profile Export operation, when viewing using FlashFXP, there will be an extra Out_Export.xml file on the right, as shown in figure 2-30.

Select Out_Export.xml and download it locally, and modify or add the contents in the box shown in figure 2-31 (zoom in and see).

After the modification is complete, save it. The configuration file has been modified.

2.2.3 profile Import

After the configuration file is modified, it is uploaded to the directory through FlashFXP and uploaded to the server using the SecureCRT tool, as shown in figure 2-32.

2.3 Application of theme and skin applications

Go to "Administration" on the Portal home page, and click "theme and appearance" in the left column, as shown in figure 2-33.

Select the topic name in the themes list, and click, as shown in figure 2-34.

When the setting is successful, click Edit theme on the right, as shown in figure 2-35.

Add the required Skin from the "all appearances" list on the left to the list on the right, and select an appearance and set it to the default value, as shown in figure 2-36.

Click the OK button to complete the theme and skin settings, as shown in figure 2-37.

2.4 upload operation of theme and skin modification files

(1) modified dynamic file

Link to fs-type1 through the AnyClient tool, find "/ themes/wanhua.default.theme/" in turn, and upload the corresponding files to the corresponding file directory.

(2) modified static file

You can upload it to the management console through EAR package.
