The host is XP, with dual network cards, one connected to the Internet and the other connected to the internal production network, switching between different networks by plugging network cables back and forth (it is not allowed to connect two networks at the same time). The network card connected to the Internet is Realtek RTL8169,IP 192.168.1.88, which accesses the Internet through a broadband router. Two virtual machines are built on VMware Workstation8, one is XP and the other is Linux. When the virtual machine is connected with nat or Host-Only+ shared Internet, it can access the Internet, but it cannot be connected by bridge. 1. At the beginning, it is suspected that it is due to the host dual network card. After specifying the bridge network card of VMnet0 as Realtek RTL8169, it will not work.

Secondly, it is suspected that it is the cause of the broadband circuit, so it is not possible to connect the host machine to the production network for testing. The cause of the broadband router can be ruled out.

3. After careful inspection of the settings, no problems were found. In addition, if I use the same setting on my computer at home, there will be no problem with the Internet on the virtual machine, so there should be no error in the setting.

4. Careful analysis: when the virtual machine acquires IP automatically (broadband router 192.168.1.1 provides DHCP service), it can obtain IP, and the IP of virtual machine can be detected on the broadband router. In addition, the IP of the ping virtual machine directly from the host 192.168.88 can also ping each other. All these show that there is no problem with the bridged network card, and the network is also connected, but there is no ping between the virtual machine and other hosts in the local area network (including the gateway 192.168.1.1), not to mention websites such as ping Baidu.

5. Check the setting of the firewall and find no problem; simply turning off the firewall of the host and the virtual machine will not solve the problem.

6. So I searched the Internet for the solution to this problem. One of the articles mentioned that the name of the bridged network card is different from that of the actual network card, which leads to the inability to surf the Internet. I carefully checked the network settings in VMware. After the bridged network card Realtek RTL8169, there was the word ShareShield filter. It suddenly occurred to me whether the shared Aegis had been installed. A few years ago, TieTong always restricted multiple computers to access the Internet on one broadband account. In order to break this limitation, a shared Aegis is installed. Now, there is no limit, but the software has not been uninstalled. When you think of this, uninstall the shared Aegis immediately. Try again, the problem is solved. Unexpectedly, all this is caused by the shared Aegis!
