Officials say the functions of individual MIUI 9 models will be adjusted due to different experience effects brought about by performance differences in the third batch of MIUI 9 models.

For example, split screen currently supports MIUI based on Android N, that is, version 7.x of Android, while other models do not support split screen feature.

At the same time, the portals, information assistants and dynamic icons of individual models are still being optimized, so you may not experience these two features immediately after upgrading MIUI 9. MIUI engineers are still working on it, hoping to eventually adapt to support, but it is still uncertain whether and when to join the two functions.

Xiaomi said that the third batch of models is expected to start internal testing on Aug. 28, and the rice noodles, which already have internal test rights, can then be upgraded directly by "setting the → MIUI version of → my device".
