Problem description

On the DELL Latitude 5300 computer of a foreign company, when configuring Outlook365 on Win10, everything was fine at first, but at last it was verified that the Times was wrong "Your computer's Trusted Platform Module has malfunctioned. If this error persists, contact your system administrator with error code 80090034". From the error message, this has something to do with configuring the Trusted Platform Module of the computer.

Analysis of problems

Now almost all laptops have built-in Trusted Platform Module (TPM) chips. This chip can effectively protect PC and prevent illegal users from accessing, so as to achieve data encryption, password protection and other security functions. TPM chip needs software support to play a security role. Since Windows Vista, Microsoft client operating system fully supports TPM security chip. If the manufacturer releases a TPM firmware update, you download and update the firmware, such as upgrading the BIOS firmware through the official driver manager. Or Windows10 (MSFT) releases updates to security vulnerabilities that you install. Then you may receive the above error message. What we need to do is to clear the TPM of the computer.

Operation steps

Tips: before operating, be sure to back up important documents to avoid unreadable files due to clearing TPM.

1. Click start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > Device security
