What is CWDW Optical Module?

CWDM optical module (coarse wavelength division multiplexing) adopts CWDM technology, which is a low-cost WDM transmission technology for metropolitan area network access layer. In principle, CWDM uses optical multiplexer to multiplex optical signals of different wavelengths to a single optical fiber for transmission. At the receiving end of the link, with the help of optical demultiplexer, the mixed signals in the optical fiber are decomposed into signals of different wavelengths and connected to the corresponding receiving equipment.

Wavelength: 1270~1610nm

Forewave: 1270~1450nm

Afterwave: 1470~1610nm

Every 20nm has one band, a total of 18 bands.

What is DWDM Optical Module?

DWDM optical module (dense wavelength division multiplexing) adopts dense wavelength division multiplexing (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technology, which makes use of the bandwidth and low loss of single-mode fiber, uses multiple wavelengths as carriers, and allows each carrier channel to transmit simultaneously in the fiber.

Wavelength: 1528.77~1563.86nm, each band is separated by about 0.8nm.
