When there are a large number of hosts in the local area network, it is obviously a laborious and not necessarily thankful way to manually set network parameters such as IP address, default gateway, DNS server address and so on for each host. The application of DHCP (dynamic Host configuration Protocol) server can solve this problem.

DHCP is mainly responsible for centrally assigning various network address parameters (including IP address, subnet mask, broadcast address, default gateway address, DNS server address); other hosts as DHCP clients, configure the network card to automatically obtain the address, and then communicate with the DHCP server to complete the automatic configuration process.

1. Install and configure DHCP server

1) install DHCP server

2) backup configuration files

3) modify the main configuration file of DHCP

Release the IP address on the client, and then update the IP address. You can see that the IP will become the DHCP reservation we just configured.
