1. There is already an AD domain controller to create an AD domain

2. Set the IP address, and DNS points to the first domain controller. I won't talk about it here. I'll just attach a picture.

3. Set the computer name

Installation role

Open Server Manager on the server that needs to be added as a domain controller, and click add roles and Features

Pop-up the add roles and Features Wizard, and click next

Select role-based or feature-based installation for installation type, and click next.

Server Select "Select server from server pool", select "AD2", and click "next"

If you select "Active Directory Domain Services" in the server role, "what functions do you need to add Active Directory Domain Services?" pop up. , click "add feature"

With Active Directory Domain Services selected, click next.

Click "next" directly here.

Click "next"

Confirm the configuration here will be "automatically restart the target server if necessary" check, click "install"

AD domain service role installation is complete, click "close", of course, you can click "promote this server to a domain controller" to add a domain controller, which is not done here

Add a domain controller

Go back to the Server Manager of the server and click Notification-"promote this server to a domain controller"

The deployment configuration is as follows

Select the deployment action add domain controller to existing domain select

Specify domain information for this operation

Domain: "contoso.com"

Then click "change"

Enter the credentials for the deployment operation and click OK

Deployment configuration is complete, click "next"

Domain controller options only configure "Type the directory service restore mode password" here, and click "next"

Click "next" directly here in the DNS option.

For other options, select the domain control copied from. Here is "AD.contoso.com", and click "next".

Specify the location of the AD DS database, log files, and SYSVOL to place the D disk, and click "next"

Confirm the configuration and click "next"

Prerequisite check passed, click "install"

Configuring

The server will be restarted automatically after the configuration is completed

After the server restarts, enter the password, here you need to enter the domain administrator password

After entering the desktop, click tools-Active Directory users and computers in Server Manager

After opening "Active Directory users and computers", expand the contoso.com domain and click "Domain Controllers" to see AD1 and AD2

Add the domain controller here and the deployment is complete
