In this issue, the editor will bring you about how to backup and restore the IIS configuration. The article is rich in content and analyzes and describes for you from a professional point of view. I hope you can get something after reading this article.

To back up the IIS configuration to back up the IIS configuration, follow these steps:

1. In the IIS snap-in on your local computer, click the computer icon under Internet Information Services.

two。 Click Action and select backup / restore configuration.

3. Click create backup, select the name of the backup file, and then click OK. Note: the default backup location is the% SystemRoot%\ system32\ inetsrv\ MetaBack folder. If you want to save the backup file to another location, you can copy the file from that default location to another location. Save a copy in the default location for easy recovery. Note that by default, C:\ Winnt is the% SystemRoot% folder in Microsoft Windows 2000.

4. Click close. Note: this backup method provides a way to restore only IIS settings (not content files). If you reinstall the operating system, this backup method is invalid. You cannot use backup files to restore IIS configurations on other computers that are running Windows 2000.

1. In the IIS snap-in on your local computer, click the computer icon under Internet Information Services.

two。 Click Action and select backup / restore configuration.

3. "in the configure backup name dialog box, select the backup file that you created, and then click restore." Although the error message indicates that the restore has failed, part of the backup configuration has been restored.

4. At the command prompt, type the following command:

Cscript.exeX:\ InetPub\ AdminScripts\ Adsutil.vbs enum w3svc

5. Click start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative tools, and then double-click computer Management. Click Local user Manager and click user.
