It is reported that Xiaomi will soon launch Mi Note 10 with a 108MP five-lens camera.

Promoting megapixels in smartphone cameras is nothing new. While smartphone makers are now packaging 48MP and 64MP lenses, Nokia has offered 41MP camera smartphones. However, things are not going well. 12MP cameras have become the norm, and that's because megapixels don't mean everything in smartphones.

However, the next driving force for megapixels is the 48MP sensor, which is rapidly upgraded to a 64MP sensor. Currently, we have equipped the 108MP camera sensor in the five-lens setting of the new Mi CC9 Pro or minoote 10. Although there is no report on the launch of the phone, a 91Mobiles report says Xiaomi is setting a timetable for the launch of Mi Note 10.

It is Xiaomi's most important market outside China and the largest smartphone supplier. For Xiaomi, given the increasingly fierce competition from Realme, it might make sense to launch Mi Note 10. Realme recently launched its flagship product on the market. Then there are other brands, such as one plus, Oppo, Vivo and so on. Traditionally, it has performed better than Xiaomi, although IDC data show that the Redmi K20 series is more successful for the brand.

If Mi Note 10 does come here, it will be the first non-AndroidOne Mi series device launched in China since 2017, and the first Mi Note device to achieve this goal.

Xiaomi also has another smartphone (Mi MIX Alpha) with 108MP camera lens, but although this device is a concept smartphone, the Mi Note 10 is a standard Android phone, and the price is not cheap. Pentagon lenses also have 5x telephoto lenses, while the other 2x telephoto lenses for portrait shooting, ultra-wide-angle lenses and macro lenses may be enough to meet the needs of many people for smartphone cameras.

This could play a major role in provinces where Xiaomi has brand loyalty and smartphone makers sell Mi Note 10 cameras. In addition, other aspects of the device, including a curved OLED screen, a 5260 mAh battery and a 30-watt fast charging feature, make it a balanced smartphone, which is likely to respond positively. However, this does not mean that Mi Note 10 will succeed without any challenges.
