Vivo is synonymous with making smartphones, but it is also trying to expand to tablets. There were rumors that the first Vivo tablet would arrive in January, but that didn't happen. The vice president of the company officially confirmed that the release had been moved to the first half of 2022. Now, we have found a new report that reveals more information.

According to the well-known and often reliable Weibo and Twitter digital chat sites, the Vivo tablet will use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor. It is worth noting that the whistleblowers have not yet confirmed whether this is the first tablet model or one of the models that Vivo will launch in due course.

The official name of the tablet is unknown, but a recent report suggests it may be called Vivo Pad. This is based on the trademark application submitted by Vivo to the intellectual property Office (EUIPO). The application mentions that tablets are one of the product categories in which the "Vivo Pad" trademark is valid.

There has been a sudden increase in the number of products released or developed in the Android tablet market. We have seen Xiaomi launch the Xiaomi tablet 5 series, Realme Pad, Motorola Tab G20 and Nokia T20 tablets. Oppo is rumored to be developing an advanced tablet with a huge 12.6-inch display and ColorOS as a software experience. These products add to the existing options of companies such as Samsung, Huawei and Lenovo. The Android tablet market looks set to become more diversified again.
