Recently caught up with the Sharepoint upgrade work, here to share with you my Sharepoint2007 upgrade to Sharepoint 2013 upgrade trip.

First of all, introduce the environment, Windows Server 2008R2+Sqlserver2005 production environment, do environmental replication. I would like to talk about my upgrade process here as follows:

In fact, one less step in this mental process is the process of upgrading UI. Of course, we will introduce you to UI upgrade later.

Here I am redeploying the Sharepoint2007 environment, and then backing up the database of the production environment for additional restore operations.

The installation steps of Sharepoint2007 are described in detail without taking a screenshot here:

1. Ad domain does not say much, the basic essential environment, all need to use all the Windows Server plus domain.

2.2VMs are equipped with Windows Server 2008R2 operating system with full patches.

3. One server installs the Sqlserver 2005 database.

4. Download the Sharepoint 2007 installation step by step and install next.

5. After the installation is complete, launch the Sharepoint configuration wizard to configure the Management Center step by step.

After the basic configuration of 6.Sharepoint 2007 is complete, log in to the Sharepoint 3.0 Administration Center to build the WEB application in the application, where only the WEB application is created.

7. After the configuration is complete, the database is additionally restored to the prepared database.

8. Go back to the Sharepoint Administration Center-manage the content database, and then add the content database under the corresponding web application.

Upgrade Sharepoint07 to 10

To prepare the Sharepoint2010 environment, install Sqlserver 2008R2 first

Then the next step is to install until complete.

Next install Sharepoint2010

We will not take too many screenshots for the installation of Sharepoint 2010. Click run the necessary software before installing the principle, and then click install Sharepoint Server.

After the 3.Sharepoint2010 configuration is completed, we go to the administration center to create the WEB application.

First click-manage WEB applications in the console interface

Go to the manage WEB application interface and click-create a new WEB application

After the WEB application is created, we still don't create site collections here.

4. Restore the database that backed up Sqlserver 2005 to Sqlserver 2008R2.

To this database restore is complete. After the database restore is completed, mount the database, and mount the content database to the Sharepoint2010 server for the previously created WEB application.

5. Use the Sharepoint-PowerShell mount command to mount the database

Database mount completed. Next, let's take a look at the status of the Sharepoint2010 Central content database.

Here you can see that the number of site collections in the content database corresponds to that in the ps command. The restore and mount to this database is complete.

6. For the above operations, we only upgrade the server farm of Sharepoint2007 to Sharepoint2010, while the UI in the site collection still stays in the interface of Sharepoint2007. Let's introduce the upgrade of UI.

There are two ways to upgrade Sharepoint website collection UI: 1) Click to the website-website operation-intuitive upgrade, you can upgrade the interface of Sharepoint2007 to Sharepoint2010 UI. If there are too many websites, it is not recommended to click on the intuitive upgrade, or it is recommended to use the command to upgrade UI,2) you can use the Powershell command to upgrade the website UI.

At this point, the Sharepoint2007 upgrade 2010 is over. Period
