Step 1:win7 executes the [start] I [run] command and enter gpedit.msc in the pop-up dialog. Click the OK button to open the Group Policy Editor window, as shown in figure 1.

Step 2: expand [computer configuration], [Management template], [Windows component], [WindowsUpdate] node, as shown in figure 2.

Step 3: double-click the "configure automatic updates" node, select the "enabled" radio button in the "configure automatic updates" option area in the pop-up dialog box, and the default mode setting of [configure automatic updates] is recommended. And click the "next Settings" button, as shown in figure 3.

Step 4: in the pop-up dialog box, the win7 system downloads the [enable] radio button in the [specify IntranetMicrosoft Update Service location] option area, enter the IP address in the text boxes of [set Intranet Update Service for detecting updates] and [set Intranet Statistics Server], and click the [OK] button. At this point, the configuration of the client is complete, as shown in figure 4.

Matters needing attention

1. Microsoft updates the proposed genuine version of this system.

2. Back up important data before installing the update.

3. Partial update test, grayscale update is not recommended to update all to prevent the system from crashing.

4. Follow the steps below to update:

1) Import wsus registry notification updates

2) installation windows6.1-KB976932-X64 without Service Pack1 installed

To install this package, you need to restart the server, and you need to be ready for backup shutdown for about 40 minutes.

3) when the installation is complete, you can accept the patch pushed by WSUS

Manually check the patches that have been updated, manually determine whether to download the update, and need to restart.
