Shulou(Shulou.com)06/02 Report--

In order to ensure the data security of enterprise users and provide the best encryption, Microsoft moved all online services of Office 365 to TLS 1.2 on October 31, 2018, which means that Microsoft will not deal with and fix new problems using TLS1.0 and 1.1 to connect to Office 365 clients.

Impact on IT Admin and enterprise customers:

As an IT Admin, you need to ensure that all Client-Server and Brower deploy TLS1.2 as the security protocol for Windows to ensure a link to the Office 365service. If a hybrid deployment scenario with On-Premise or Active Directory federated authentication service is used within the enterprise, ask IT Admin to ensure that the infrastructure can support inbound and outbound connections using TLS 1.2.

The following clients will not be able to use TLS 1.2:

○ Android 4.3 and earlier versions ○ Firefox version 5.0 and earlier versions ○ Internet Explorer 8-10 on Windows 7 and earlier versions ○ Internet Explorer 10 on Win Phone 8.0 ○ Safari 6.0.4/OS X10.8.4 and earlier versions

What IT Admin and enterprise users need to prepare for this change:

IT Admin updates the security protocol configuration for all Client-Server and Browser-Server within the enterprise according to the following two articles for deploying TLS1.2.

○ enables TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 as default WinHTTP security protocols in Windows (Windows Server 2012 Service Pack 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1) Please add a link description

○ update to add support for TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 in Windows Server 2008 SP2, Windows Embedded POSReady 2009 and Windows Embedded Standard 2009 Please add a link description if possible, Microsoft recommends disable TLS1.0/1.1 at the system level and remove all TLS1.0/1.1 dependencies.
