The new Pixel 4 has just been updated for the first time from Google. It should make the two prominent functions of the phone better. In the patch list, Google mentioned "improved smooth display" and "improved camera quality".

This update is part of the November security patch, and you can get Pixel 4 by updating Android. The explanation of the patch is limited, but it is hoped that there will be a significant improvement. In addition to screen and camera improvements, Pixel 4 and all Google phones that return Pixel 2 now support Xbox Bluetooth controller mapping.

The cameras on Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL are already very powerful. Combining multiple sensors with different shots and AI algorithms for image processing, they can create amazing photos even under unsatisfactory conditions. Google's new astrophotography model has not yet made its debut on Pixel 4, but the software that supports cameras feels complete. We are unlikely to see any significant improvements in the patch.

However, the improvement in Google's smooth display may be more pronounced. Like one plus 7 Pro, the Pixel 4 Series packaged displays offer 90Hz refresh rates for smoother on-screen animation and video playback.

However, the refresh rate is only valid under certain high brightness settings. This limits the benefits that users can see in the display function, especially because the limited battery life of the Pixel 4 does not fully promote higher brightness.

To Google reports that the new update seems to be able to use more brightness settings. It remains to be seen, but in this case Google will eventually allow the display to run on 90Hz.

If it does become more widely available, it will only make one of the upgrades of pixel 4 to pixel 3 more valuable to customers.
