Microsoft's dominant position in the enterprise is well known. It can be said that Microsoft has steered the wave of cloud computing. In the first quarter, revenues from its Azure services and Office 365 online productivity businesses surged 90 per cent and 42 per cent, respectively.

Interview process

Like most other companies that hire engineers, Microsoft has a typical interview process. The role of data science usually adjusts a process slightly, which reflects the importance of different aspects under the umbrella of data science. There are usually telephone interviews (involving coding), followed by live interviews, with about 4-5 interviews on the spot. But there may be only 2-3 of them who really delve into the problems, studies and models related to data science. The rest are designed to test coding skills.
