View the registry under 1.windows

Start entering regedit for viewing

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ ORACLE\ KEY_OraDb11g_home1\ ORACLE_SID is

2 linux or unix is fine.

Echo $ORACLE_SID

Note: ORACLE_SID should be capitalized

Method 2:

You can view it under the sql command

Query after connection:

SQL > select instance_name from v$instance

For example:

.. SQL command queries the instance name.

SQL > select instance_name from v$instance

INSTANCE_NAME
