AzCopy support in Azure Storage Explorer is now available in public previews. AzCopy is a popular command-line utility that provides high-performance data transfer in and out of storage accounts. The new version of AzCopy further enhances performance and reliability with a scalable design, where concurrency is extended according to the number of logical cores of the machine. In addition, it can also be improved by repeated retries.

Azure Storage Explorer provides a UI interface for various storage tasks, and now supports the use of AzCopy as the transport engine, providing the highest throughput for Azure storage transfer files. This feature is now available as a preview in Azure Storage Explorer.

Enable AzCopy for blob uploads and downloads

Open Azure Storage Explorer, click Preview, and select "Use AzCopy for Improved Blob Upload and Download"
