Installation and configuration of PowerDesigner connecting to Oracle database

After unremitting efforts, I finally successfully connected powerdesigner to the database. I also encountered some problems in the process. I hope I can discuss it with you.

1. Install the oracle client locally

After decompressing and installing, I will not demonstrate them one by one. The directory I installed is E:\ APP.

When the installation is complete, it displays:

3. Configure to connect to the oracle database

First open the file-- > build a new model

When you are finished, start configuring the connection database

Open [File]-- > [Reverse Engineer]-- > [Database]

Click [OK], proceed to the next step, select [Using a data source], and then click [connect to a data source]

Click next to create a new data source

Then [next], and then click "finish" to pop up the following dialog box:

Perform [Test Connection] after the configuration is completed, and click [OK] after the test is successful.

Click the final OK, pop up the following dialog box, now that the configuration is complete, you can do whatever you want.

Found the answer online but didn't solve my problem: (I uninstalled the oracle client clean and reinstalled it)

[locate the ORACLE_HOME folder, right-click-> Properties-> Security, select Authenticated Users, check its properties, uncheck the Readand Execute first (the check is selected by default), put it on the check, and then restart your machine. After running the program, the problem is solved successfully.]

Problem 2: test connection error when using connection profile (not resolved yet)

SQLSTATE = UNKNOWN Io exception: Connection

Refused (DESCRIPTION= (TMP=) (VSNNUM=202375424) (ERR=12505) (ERROR_STACK= (ERROR= (CODE=12505) (EMFI=4)
