Today, the editor will take you to understand how to use the favorites service code management tool in SAP GUI. The knowledge points in the article are introduced in great detail. Friends who feel helpful can browse the content of the article together with the editor, hoping to help more friends who want to solve this problem to find the answer to the problem. Let's follow the editor to learn more about "how to use the favorite task code management tool in SAP GUI".

There are a lot of long transaction codes in SAP Netweaver, such as the SAP CRM UI development tool BSP_WD_CMPWB, which I can't remember to this day. Fortunately, SAP kindly provides favorites in SAP GUI. We can create a tree-like list of favorites in SAP GUI. We can put several business-related transaction codes in the same folder, and the folder supports nesting, as shown below:

However, SAP GUI's favorites transaction code management function has a limitation. The transaction code nodes on the favorites tree structure do not support cut-and-paste operations.

For example, if I want to move the BSP_WD_COMWB at the end of the following favorites to the Design Layer folder at the top of the favorites folder, I can only click BSP_WD_COMWB with the left mouse button, hold it down, and then drag it to the destination folder at the top.

Because I have a lot of favorites, I have to hold down the mouse and use the middle mouse button to slide the scroll bar up several times until the target folder at the top of the favorites appears, then release the left mouse button and place it in the target folder.

The management of this kind of favorites is inefficient and error-prone, so you need to hold down the left mouse button while sliding the middle mouse button, in case the left button is released at this time, it will be misoperated.

So I developed a tool myself. Create a new notepad file locally, maintain the transaction code that you want to import into SAP GUI favorites according to your favorite hierarchy, and then upload the notepad file directly to the ABAP system.

01 in the picture above. 02. The content at the beginning of 03 represents the name of the folder where favorites are generated in SAP GUI, and the value of the transaction code itself is in square brackets. Operating notepad is much easier than dragging and dragging with a mouse in SAP GUI, isn't it?

On the right side of the image below is what I maintain in my local notepad, and on the left is the favorites generated by importing this notepad into SAP GUI.

The report I developed parses the transaction codes and hierarchies maintained in notepad, and then inserts the parsed records into the Netweaver database table where the favorites are stored.

Thank you for your reading, the above is the whole content of "how to use the favorites Affairs Code Management tool in SAP GUI". Friends who learn to learn to hurry up to operate it. I believe that the editor will certainly bring you better quality articles. Thank you for your support to the website!
